Light between worlds.
I wanted to become a cinematographer as soon as I stepped on a film set.Ever since I first stepped onto a film set, I knew I wanted to be a cinematographer. I grew up between Mexico City and New York, surrounded by a vibrant world of art, visuals, music and different cultures.
I was born in In my teens, I taught myself to DJ and discovered a passion for world musik and radio production. That experience inspired me to study Communication Sciences at Universidad Anáhuac. While there, I fell in love with contemporary cinema—films like Wim Wenders’s Wings of Desire and Paris, Texas captivated me—and I enrolled at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) to specialize in cinematography.Monterrey and grew up in Mexico City within a very rich art, visual and musical environment. In my teenage years I moved with my mother to New York City where my deep contact with a multicultural society led me to learn how to DJ and became deeply interested in Radio production which was the original drive to study Science of Communication at the Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico. I then became fascinated by contemporary Films such as Wim Wender’s „Himmel über Berlin” and „Paris Texas“ and thus begun working in the film industry and commercials while studying Film at the renown Cento de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) where I specialized in Cinematography, since 2008 I have been shooting fiction and documentary films and series.
Since 2008, I’ve shot fiction features, documentaries, and TV series, honing my craft on sets both large and small.
In 2011, Ying met it’s Yang through a wonderful German woman, and we decided to build our life together in her homeland. Today we’re raising three full energetic children in Dresden. I currently work with different production companies and news agencies across Europe.
I cherish my family and my work. To me, filmmaking is more than storytelling—it’s a way to elevate our shared human journey through empathy, beauty, and self-discovery.
