Portrait
In Light and Shadow
„Portraits can tell us about the artist, the sitter and ourselves.“ Kathryn Calley Galitz. This is my father, Ariel Jiménez González – artist, painter, writer, thinker, and a deeply loving human being. Through him, I came to understand the vital role of art in human evolution- and I found my path as a photographer. He passed not long ago, but in this frame – bathed in sunset, full of stillness – I can still hold him close. That’s the power of portraiture: to remember not just how someone looked, but how it felt to love them. Every portrait I create carries this intention – to preserve presence, emotion, and the quiet beauty of being. For my father, Ariel. Thank you for showing me how to see.
